An interesting niche blog:
Wordmarks from a private stock of predigital lettering scoured from low resolution archives, personally converted to bezier outlines by Robb for use by today’s graphic designers who appreciate the wonky shapes of yesteryear.
Some of the wordmarks are particularly lovely, like the one used in the ad for 1935’s “The Bride of Frankenstein”. The lettering for the cover of “Country Gentleman” magazine reminds me of Kevin Cornell’s Phaeton typeface. Best of all, everything is available for download. Via Jason Santa Maria.
